The long, sweaty summer break is over and we can finally, officially, welcome rugby back down at Riverwoods!
I hope you had a restful and enjoyable few weeks and are raring to go for the upcoming season. I’m excited to spend the next few weeks popping down on Sundays to watch some training and/or games! Please feel free to come and have a chat with me if you see me.
You’ll notice some significant changes around the club if you haven’t visited in a while. Firstly, Cultivate Gym is up and running and is already firmly a wonderful asset to have at the club. The gym area has been completely redeveloped and is now run by Cultivate. Please pop over to check it out and say hi to Will and the team.
Secondly, the Brolly Bar has had a serious facelift! A welcoming area now that will be up and in use in the near future!
The clubhouse itself has also been redecorated, fresh lick of paint and now looking and feeling new and improved. The next steps in the redecorating will be in the men’s toilets which will be getting a well needed overhaul in the coming weeks so watch this space, and the Members Bar/Side Room, will be getting a makeover, with hopes to get as many team photos up on the walls from over the years, canvases of action shots from across the club and a more homely feel for our members to enjoy. If you have any of these team photos (formal style) please send them over to clubcaptain@marlowrugby.co.uk.
