Membership FAQs

There follows a list of Frequently Asked Questions relating to membership. If you can't see the answer to your question then please contact membership@marlowrugby.co.uk.

Q: I/my child don't have an RFU GMS account - how do I create one?

A: Please follow the directions on this RFU guide - if you have any issues then pleasecontact membership@marlowrugby.co.uk

Q: I/my child have an RFU GMS account from a previous club - do I need to create a new one to join Marlow?

A: No - the RFU ID you get when joining RFU GMS follows you around on your rugby journey. All you need to do is "affiliate" to Marlow Rugby Club and then you can add a membership.

Q: Why do I not see the discount when adding a new family member?

A: There are two possible answers to this!

  1. When adding multiple members for a family membership, each membership is shown at its full price when listed. However, when you check out, you will see that the discount is applied.
  2. Discounts are only applied when all family members are added at the same time. If you initially create a family with one child, for example, and then add a second child later, the discount is not retrospectively applied by the system. In this instance, contact membership@marlowrugby.co.uk and the discount can be applied manually by the membership secretary.

Q: How do I get a membership card?

A: The easiest way is to download your digital membership card to your smart phone as described here. Once you have done this, then when you first use it at the bar you will need to "top it up" to create an account in the background. Then you're all good to go!

If you want a physical card then please request this via contact membership@marlowrugby.co.uk and it will be left behind the bar for you to collect.

Q: It's a new season - do I need a new membership card?

A: No, once allocated to you the membership card stays with you during your time at Marlow RUFC.

Q: I lave lost/broken my membership card - how do I get a new one?

A: At the moment, there is no way to issue a new card with the same number. You can continue to use your card at the bar by providing your card number and surname, but if you want a new physcial card then contact membership@marlowrugby.co.uk and request a new card: I will then have to arrange for the transfer of any outstanding balance.

Q: Can I get my membership card in a wallet on my Smart Phone?

A: Yes you can! This feature has been added to GMS and we have the scanner ready to go, so why not give it a go?! Details on how to set this up can be found here
